PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT

The Midship Pipeline (Midship) is intended to support jobs and prudent resource development by providing additional infrastructure to transport American natural gas to growing markets in the Gulf Coast and Southeast United States. Specifically, the Midship Project will directly support the ongoing development of natural gas emerging from the South Central Oklahoma Oil Province (SCOOP) and Sooner Trend Anadarko Canadian and Kingfisher (STACK) plays in Oklahoma. Midship is being developed in conformance with applicable regulations and standards and it promotes delivery of clean, secure local energy resources to end-users and brings economic benefits to Oklahoma.

Community Engagement

Midship considers community support to be vital to the success of the project. We are committed to working with the community from early project development through all phases of permitting, construction, and ongoing operations. We are proactively consulting with stakeholders to understand and address their concerns. When stakeholders have raised concerns, we have incorporated their feedback into our planning process, our pipeline route, and our construction plans where feasible. Once the pipeline is operations, we will continue to actively engage with community members as a good neighbor.

Our Stakeholders

To date, Midship has conducted hundreds of stakeholder meetings and communicated with more than 2,000 project stakeholders, including landowners, nearby residents, elected officials, government agencies, nongovernmental organizations, civic groups, first responders, local media, and tribal and community leaders. All of these meetings have informed people about development of the Midship Project, and we will continue to engage with and learn from Oklahomans and other stakeholders throughout project development and operations.
